Below these Toranas ,the lord rests ,while proceeding towards the Narendra pond for boating in chandan Yatra and enjoys the dance of his devotees and Maharis(temple dancers) listens the beautiful songs sang by the Pandas (Priests ) mostly from the GitaGovinda written by JayaDev. It creates shivering and thril . To experience this one need to present there phisically and believe me it is just out of the world, awesome experience ,one will treasure it through out life.....

Avada- Cooked in jagannath's own kitchen feeds thousands of people every day. It is said that nobody in Puri remains empty stomach. Even lord Jagannath comes to feed them in disguise if found anybody is left with out food.........If he can't do it for some resons then he used to instruct his devotees and even shows the way to reach that hungry soul and to feed them. Many has experienced it in real life.....................

This particular snacks made up of Sugar, Maida and Ghee is very popular all over India. The same stuff is available inside temple also .But here it is quite cheap and qualitywise same as available inside temple.

Here one can find the variety of art forms of Orissa and these shops are reflections of Orissa's art and sculpture and it's rich culture.
