Restaurants in Mumbai……

Staying in a metro is always different and in Mumbai it’s really different.
Week ends in Mumbai means, either to attend some party, get-to-gather or to watch a movie and have a sumptuous meal in a good restaurant.
There was a time when I was frequent to VT area, now known as CST (Chatrapati Sivaji Terminus). I used to stay there in the seamen’s club for days together and explored almost all the good restaurants in and around that vicinity. The Sher-e-Punjab, the Excellency, The Bharat restaurant, Suruchi South Indian Restaurant, Pancham puriwala, Kailash parbat, Delhi Darbar and a few I have forgotten. I have attended few parties in five star hotels like Oberoi tower, The club at Andheri,
When I stayed in Andheri area I explored a few good restaurants there too. In fact I have forgotten their name. Just walk thorough the Lokhandwala complex main road, you can have pretty good restaurants there. But I can’t guarantee their quality as many times I used to have stomach ache here. As I am very sensitive to different food and unhygienic food makes me seek very easily, I always use my commonsense before having food anywhere. I usually taste a small amount as test round and if my stomach approves it then I go for a full course meal. So the restaurants I am mentioning here may not be very expensive but the food is definitely good, hygienically prepared and there is no history behind them for creating any stomach ache for me…..
Later when I started staying in Navi Mumbai, I explored a lot of restaurants like Nimatran, Motimahal, K-star, Hotel Abbot (Belapur),The Park, The Highway view- Sikara ( in Sanpada near highway) Navaranta,(in vashi) Pancharatna, Peace park, Neel Kamal…..(New Panvel). Apart from these, there are Malls, like Galleria, Centre one, Raghuleela, City center have their own food plaza on the top floor and it’s a delight and very pleasant experience to visit these multi cuisine restaurants, including Pizza hut and Mac Donalds and Baskin Robbin ice-cream parlors, after watching a blockbuster movie……
The best part of all these restaurants is that they are too good in their interiors, Cozy, lovely ambiance, hospitality is guaranteed but the food is all the same….The same paneer butter masala, the same chicken Handi, Kadai, The same tikka, koliwada or Chinese chilly chicken, chicken 65, Hakka noodle…..Go anywhere in Mumbai you will find the same recipe, the same menu card but taste differs and so also the quality and it’s richness differs from place to place.
I am frequent to The Nimantran restaurant for its tasty food. Here for a full course menu, like soups, snack like some tikka, looly pop or fish fry,
I am placing a few photos of this restaurant.
